  • Aims and Objectives. The M.S. “Studies in Orthodox Theology” aspires to provide its participants with specialized knowledge of and expertise in all aspects of Christian-Orthodox Church and its theology and in the context of our modern world. Among the programme’s main objectives are: (a) the promotion of academic research pertaining to the Easten-Orthodox Church, in its engagement with the contemporary world; (b) the systematic development  of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogues amidst the various religious, political and socio-cultural challenges of our modern multi-religious and multi-cultural era.
  • Duration of the Programme. The duration of the programme is two years organised into four (4) academic semesters.
  • Language of the Programme. TheM.A. “Studies in Orthodox Theology” is offered exclusively in English.
  • Availability. There are up to eighty (80) available positions each academic year.
  • Programme Fees. The cost of the programme amounts to 3.000€ in total (registration, tuition, and master's dissertation fee).
  • Calendar: The programme normally begins in early October each year with registration taking place usually around mid-September.
  • Programme’s Requirements: Four semesters of attendance (120 ECTS). Three semesters of taught courses plus one semester preparing and working on master dissertation. Teaching will take place at the facilities of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, while distance learning options will also be available.
